CCC was overjoyed to be nominated for 3 categories at the 2024 local pet awards this year!
These categories were home boarding of the year, pet photographer of the year and specialist pet service of the year.
Clare was overjoyed when she became a finalist in all three categories CCC was nominated for.
Clare was extremely emotional and greatful to find out the news that CCC had won specialist pet service of the year for rabbit care.
Diligently Designed Apartments
Here at CCC all rabbits are accommodated in custom-built 6ft and 8ft apartments that are custom designed to suit each and every bunny's needs. All apartments are lined with artificial grass and every bunny is provided with luxury soft pillowy bedding and custom-made large forage trays with piles of soft hay so they can snuggle down and stay cosy in the evenings. All apartments are fitted with their own uniquely designed doors that lead straight out into the secure stary aviary, this means that your bunny can come and go into their apartment as they please. Each guest has their own time each day where they can explore at their own pace. These doors are then securely locked in the evenings when your bunny has finished foraging and exploring to keep them nice and warm inside CCC's fully insulated building. CCC's apartments can comfortably house up to 3 bonded rabbits at a time.
Aviary
CCC's custom-built secure, safe, covered and well-lit stary aviary was designed with rabbits at the forefront. This means that your bunnies have a tranquil space that can meet their needs all year round. CCC's aivory is fully covered, this means that even on rainy days your fluffy friends can still enjoy outdoor time. CCC's aviary is safe and secure which means that your bunny can enjoy outdoor time worry-free. The aviary has beautiful stary lights that line the entire sky so your rabbits can relax and star gaze after a busy day of foraging and exploring. The aviary is completely lined with artificial grass this is so that it can be fully disinfected daily between each guest's use. The aviary also has secure levels, ramps, toys, enrichment and hides so that your rabbit can binky until their heart's content whilst also having lots of important places to hide to encourage natural behavior.
Hay
Hay makes up approximately 85% of your rabbit's diet. CCC is well stocked on a variety of different hays that your rabbit can sample or you can request a specific hay that you know your rabbits desire and it's all unlimited and included in the price!

Burgess Excel
Burgess Excel meadow feeding hay is a high-quality British grown hay for rabbits. Did you know that 92% of vets recommend Excel due to its 100% natural high-fibre content which is important to maintain good dental health. CCC also stocks Burgess Excel feeding hay with dandelion & marigold for rabbits which is great as the flowers encourage natural foraging. Burgess Excel nature snacks meadow munchies with dandelion and camomile is a compressed high-quality feeding hay for rabbits and can also be used as a boredom breaker to keep your bunny entertained. Burgess Excel long stem Timothy feeding hay is a high-quality feeding hay that supports dental health, made with tasty long stem Timothy hay and is dust extracted for respiratory health. This hay is high in beneficial fibre to support healthy digestion, encouraging natural foraging behaviour for rabbits.
Alternative varieties
Meadow & Timothy hay mixed bale is suitable for rabbits and is a great daily feeding hay. Sweet green hay cookies which are made from 100% natural ingredients and are high in essential fibre. These can be fed as a hay alternative, great for maintaining growing teeth for rabbits. Selective Science Timothy hay is suitable for all breeds of rabbits, deliciously nutritious and naturally high in fibre, it supports dental & digestive well-being and encourages natural foraging. Small Pet Select Oat hay provides a great variety when mixed with other hays as part of a healthy diet, oat hay is a fantastic source of fibre & protein for rabbits. Oxbow Alfalfa hay is a hay that is suitable for all stages of life but is ideally suited for young or lactating rabbits.
Pellets
We all know that rabbits are prone to digestive problems especially when traveling or in a new environment. This is why CCC will give your rabbits whatever pellets they are accustomed to. Below are the pellets that CCC keeps in stock, however, if you feed a brand that is not listed below please let Clare know and she will be happy to get this in stock for your bunnies stay.
Pellets that CCC stocks for rabbits mainly consists of two brands Selective Science and Burgess Excel.
Selective Science
Types of Selective Science pellets that are stocked include; Selective Science rabbit food for adult, Selective Science rabbit food for junior, Selective Science rabbit food for four+, Selective Science rabbit food house and Selective Science rabbit food grain free.
Burgess Excel
Types of Burgess Excel pellets that are stocked include; Burgess Excel adult rabbit nuggets with mint, Burgess Excel junior and dwarf with mint, Burgess Excel mature with cranberry and thyme, Burgess Excel adult with hedgerow herbs, Burgess Excel adult with oregano, Burgess Excel adult light with mint and Burgess Excel indoor rabbit with dandelion and nettle.
Vegetables and Herbs
CCC feeds a wide selection of vegetables and herbs daily during your bunny's stay. CCC only feeds fresh, organic and seasonal vegetables and herbs. What your rabbits will get when they stay varies from season to season and is also based on what they enjoy. Please let Clare know when you are booking in or on arrival what vegetables and herbs your rabbits enjoy the most so she can spoil them!
Enrichment, toys and dietary foraging
Rabbits as prey animals, like to check out their surroundings, it is a natural instinct of theirs to keep a lookout CCC aids this with artificially grassed secure levels & platforms adjoined to a floral wall in the Aviary to encourage this natural behaviour. CCC also offers cosy softly lined hideouts to help your rabbit feel safe and secure. CCC makes borrowing boxes filled with soil & pine cones to promote their instinctive tendencies to dig. These environmental enrichments that CCC provides have been diligently designed to help your rabbits transition with ease into Clare's care.
Foraging is such an important activity for your rabbit. Foraging provides your rabbit with many benefits including; meeting their nutritional needs, promoting dental health and providing mental stimulation but it's also lots of fun! Here at CCC creating unique and fun foraging experiences is what Clare specialises in.
Foraging at CCC comes in many shapes & sizes starting with snuffle forage mats, stacking cups, treat a log, hide 'N' treats & pumpkin seed mazes, carrot wood rolls, willow treat baskets, Himalayan salt lick stones, carrot & cornflower rollers all filled with Clare's delicious carefully created mixes of herb & vegetable salads. Also available are; heart oat cookies, hay carrot sticks, burgess excel herby hearts, supreme selective woodland loops, vegetables hay bars, flake peas, selective naturals fibafirst helping support sensitive tummies and continue a healthy digestive balance. Clare loves using hay cubes which are hay coated parchment boxes stuffed full of hay! Rabbits love the fun and challenge of destroying the cube to nibble on the hay & marigold inside. Clare also uses a variety of forage mixes during your rabbits stay all these healthy aromatic blends are available; green oat, dandelion, peppermint, dried green leaves, nettle & camomile as well as a selection of pettle salads. All of which is naturally rich in fiber, vitamins, oils & minerals it's a little taste of herbal heaven rich in fiber & antioxidants!
Grooming and Pawdicures
Each and every bunny that stays at CCC qualifies for free complimentary grooming and pawdicures as part of their stay. Complimentary grooming services that your bunny can avail of during their stay include; daily brushing on request which is especially important for long-haired breeds, de-shedding, sanitary trims, pawdicures and application of treatments including flystrike prevention and/or applying vet prescribed treatments. CCC understands that trimming your bunny's nails can be a stressful experience for both of you, especially if you need to take them to the vet to have this done. Grooming and nail clipping is a lot easier when your bunny is in a relaxing environment so why not let CCC add some extra pampering to your bunny's stay. Just let Clare know on arrival if you would like to avail of complimentary grooming or pawdicures for your bunny.
Transportation
CCC understands that not everybody can drive and if you don't it can be very difficult to transport your bunnies safely – CCC has a solution to this! CCC has a beautiful van that is custom-fitted to transport your bunnies safely and to keep them cosy on their way to their holiday. Why not let CCC pick up and drop off your rabbit so you can have extra time to prep for your holiday. A small additional fee will be added for collection and drop offs - please get in touch for a custom quote.
Exceptional circumstances – complex medical and palliative needs
Clare has an abundance of experience caring for rabbits with complex medical and palliative needs both as pets, with rescues and caring for home boarders. Due to this Clare can home board rabbits with complex additional needs that other facilities would not normally accept. Clare can only home board rabbits with conditions that are non-communicable (not contagious). CCC understands that each rabbits medical needs vary greatly due to this some additional fees may apply – please get in touch for a custom quote.
CCC also offers discounts for long-term stays if you need to home board your bunnies whilst you are in hospital or moving house.
Drop off/Pick up
CCC offers flexible pick up and drop off times. Monday to Thursday time slots will be available and allocated anytime after 5pm. Friday, Saturday and Sunday time slots are available all day.
Time slots for pick up/drop off are allocated at time of booking. Time slots are allocated for half an hour, this gives you and your rabbits time to come and settle in, chat to Clare, handover and complete any paperwork needed.
Please endeavour to arrive on time, this will ensure you have enough time to make sure your rabbits are settled before you leave. If you are running late please let Clare know as soon as you can.
